Bruno Mosso documents the chaos beyond the Cannes red carpet.

Since 1946, the Cannes Film Festival has transformed the small French town into a week-long stage of fashion, glamour and red carpets. But far less often seen is the life of the town itself, and what unfolds just beyond the premieres and the Palais.
This year, photographer Bruno Mosso turned his camera away from the red carpet and towards the chaos around Cannes. Across 79 photographs, he documents the crowds, movement and strange beauty surrounding the festival during its 79th edition. From the moments between screenings to the people gathered outside premieres, this is Cannes away from the spotlight, where the streets feel just as cinematic as the films themselves.
