The Perfect Day. A 12 hour all-day event at 3537, Paris. Open door policy.
The day commenced with a talk between Bryan Yambao, Ed Buchanan, Honey Dijon, Amber Pinkerton and Rasharn Agyemang, where the panel discussed their careers and experiences as people of colour working in the creative industry.
In between talks, guests were welcomed with tote bags and stickers by More Joy, Aries t-shirts featuring Perfect’s cover star London rapper 5EB shot by David Sims and Perfect badges. All money made from these products will be donated to Red Cross Ukraine and the sum will be matched by Perfect.
Next up, we had Business of Fashion’s Imran Amed in conversation with Vogue Ukraine’s Venya Brykalin, followed by Susie Lau in conversation with Ludovic de Saint Sernin.
As well as a retail space, the Perfect Day also featured an exhibition showing the works of Jawara Alleyne, JORDANLUCA, Miss Sohee and Johannes Warnke.
At 3pm sharp, Tim Blanks sat down with Glenn Martens to discuss his career and his first couture collection with Y/Project and Jean-Paul Gaultier, as well as his Diesel debut.
Georgia Palmer swung by for an exclusive book signing of her cover, closely followed by a live drawing class chaired by Giles Deacon starring Bimini, Amelia Gray and James O’Connor (who was albeit unrecognisable as he was dressed in a leather dog gimp suit). The trio were dressed head to toe in Richard Quinn with make-up by Pat McGrath.
French rapper Regular Boy brought in a huge crowd to the basement area, which had previously been screening fashion films from Katie Grand, Aries, Coach, Push Button Generation, Richard Quinn, Sølve Sundsbø, and performed an unforgettable 45 minute set.
The last talk of the day was hosted by Ethan James Green with Dara Allen, Luca Khouri and Marika-Ella Ames.
For the evening, guests were treated to a private screening of The Ben Cobb Show showcasing films from Issue Two starring Billie Eilish, Hailey Bieber, Bella Poarch, Emily Ratajkowski, Khaby, Miley Cyrus, Tyler the Creator, Lizzo, Tracee Ellis Ross, Adut Akech, Iris Law, Kaia Gerber, Selma Hayek, James Corden, Diane Keaton, Sienna Miller, Gabrielle Union, Serena Williams and more.
And just when you thought the day was over, 5EB performed an hour long set in partnership with Aries.
