BALMAIN BRINGS THE BUZZ WITH THE B-BUZZ DYNASTY BAG

Becoming fascinated with a pillar in the Balmain being l’art du voyage, Olivier Rousteing has taken the energy of wanderlust and put it into the latest bag released by the iconic Maison. Celebrating House founder Pierre Balmain and his legacy of the “New French Style”, the designer aimed to showcase Balmain’s architectural background and his fascination for sharp cuts and strong silhouettes.

Debuting the B-Buzz Dynasty Bag, Rousteing recreated the feeling behind vintage vanity travel sets, setting off a retrospection with the unique B-turn lock, and the vanity mirror all part of the bag’s development and design. “The name? Well it pretty neatly sums up the thoughts I had while designing this new bag,” explains Rousteing. “Going through the Balmain archive’s collection of trunks and travel vanities evoked images of powerful women and luxury voyages—women moving through life with determination, mixing glamour with sensuality. And, like all classic luxury travel trunks, cases and accessories, our new B-Buzz Dynasty bag is a timeless design. It will endure. It’s intended to be part of a legacy—a Dynasty—that will be passed on, from generation to generation.”
