Chappell Roan Interviewed by Alpha, a Six-Year-Old Superfan.

“I brush it off and keep going because the show must go on!”

ALPHA: Hi Chappell Roan, my name’s Alpha, I’m six and I’m going to be interviewing you.

CHAPPELL: Hi Alpha!

ALPHA: Were you allowed make-up as a kid? 

CHAPPELL: I was very interested in make-up. But I did not wear the colours I wanted to, because it was too grown up. So now I wear the make-up I always wanted to wear. 

ALPHA: What was your favourite dress as a kid?

CHAPPELL: I liked wearing my Princess Belle dress. 

ALPHA: Did you like sleepovers as a kid?

CHAPPELL: Yes, I loved sleepovers and I still have sleepovers with my friends. 

ALPHA: Do you have a stuffed animal? What is its name? What does it look like?

CHAPPELL: Yes, I have one stuffed animal. It is a baby Eeyore from Disney World in 2004. It is purple, and she is a girl named Eeyore.

ALPHA: What is your craziest hair?

CHAPPELL: When my hair was so long that it got caught in the taxi cab door.

ALPHA: Why did you swim in Washington Square Park? Did you like it?

CHAPPELL: I swam in the fountain for my music video, ‘The Subway’. I did not like it because it was cold, but I did it anyway because it looked cool. 

ALPHA: What do you do if you make a mistake in a show?

CHAPPELL: I brush it off and keep going because the show must go on! 

ALPHA: What are you most scared of?

CHAPPELL: I am most scared of sharks and alligators and home invasion.

ALPHA: Do you like arts and crafts? What is the most amazing arts and crafts thing that you’ve made?

CHAPPELL: I love arts and crafts! I would say my most amazing is a mosaic I made for my bathroom. I had never made a mosaic before and it is very beautiful to me. 

ALPHA: Do you like candy? What’s your favourite?

CHAPPELL: I love candy! One of my favourites is AirHeads Xtremes Sour (the rainbow ones, of course). 

ALPHA: When you go to places to do shows, what do you do there in your off time?

CHAPPELL: In my off time I like to go to parks, go thrifting and go to beer gardens or museums.

ALPHA: What’s the best place you’ve ever been?

CHAPPELL: The best place I’ve ever been is Elton John’s mansion in France, or on a summer float trip down the river with friends. 

ALPHA: Do you wear costumes in your free time?

CHAPPELL: I absolutely do not wear costumes in my free time. I wear comfy jeans and T-shirts. 

ALPHA: Does someone do your make-up for you?

CHAPPELL: Yes, most of the time! But sometimes I do my own for smaller events. 

ALPHA: How many instruments can you play? Did you play instruments as a kid?

CHAPPELL: I started on guitar, but now I play piano and can no longer play guitar. 

ALPHA: What was your favourite song when you were six?

CHAPPELL: ‘Genie in a Bottle’ by Christina Aguilera!
